The DCH283 is a cordless 18v SDS Plus rotary hammer drill which delivers category-leading high speed drilling performance at more than 74 (10mm x 80mm) holes per 5.0ah battery charge. A large part of its energy efficiency is down to its brushless motor which drains the battery at a slower rate than conventional brushed designs with the added advantage that there are no carbon brushes to replace over the course of the motors lifetime.

Three modes mean the machine can be used for drilling, hammer drilling and chiselling, and an anti-vibration design helps to ensure increased comfort when used for longer periods. The DCH283 is part of the DeWalt XR cordless platform and can be used with all 18v XR and 54v XR Flexvolt Li-Ion power tool batteries. This kit is supplied complete and ready to go with two 5.0ah batteries, charger and a carry case.
